1. What is “MONEY BOX Refund"?
MONEY BOX refund is a service that allows you to visit a MONEY BOX to get a refund of your remaining Pay balance. Your trip to Korea is almost over, but you still have a large balance on your NAMANE CARD? Easily refund your NAMANE Pay balance before you leave Korea.
[Refundable MONEY BOX locations]
๐Myeongdong Main Branch: 52-1, Namdaemun-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul
๐Myeongdong 2nd Branch: 15, Myeongdong 9-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
๐Seoul Station Branch: 401-2, Hangang-daero, Yongsan-gu, Seoul
โจNotes:
- MONEY BOX refund is only available for foreigners.
- MONEY BOX refunds are only available at Myeongdong Main Branch, Myeongdong No. 2 Branch, and Seoul Station Branch (as of April, 2024).
- Partial refunds are not available.
- Only Pay balance is refundable. Please check Railplus for the transit balance refund policy.
- Refunds are available for amounts starting at 3,000 won.
- You cannot cancel a refund request after applying for a refund.
- The refund amount is determined by the MONEY BOX exchange rate on the day of the refund.
2. How to Refund at MONEY BOX
STEP 1. Visit the MONEY BOX
*Refunds are currently available at Myeongdong Main Branch, Myeongdong 2nd Branch, and Seoul Station Branch.
STEP 2. Apply for a Refund on NAMANE app
For more details about on how to get a refund, click the link to the service manual.
STEP 3. Scan the QR at the MONEY BOX branch.
*You should apply for a refund on "the day you want to refund"!
STEP 4. Show the last screen to the MONEY BOX staff and you're done!
*Please be aware that the South Korean passport displayed in the photograph is used for this content. It is unable to refund at MONEY BOX to South Koreans.
*Please bring your passport with you.
*MONEY BOX refunds are only available on the day of the refund request.
