Pay Card Refund/Cancellation 



☑️ Pay Card Refund

※ If more than 60% of the Pay Balance is used, you can request a refund 

- NAMANE APP > ‘Customer Service’ from all menus > Click ‘Refund’


☑️ Pay Card Cancellation

※ Card cancellation is possible after setting 'Card lock'.

- Lock Card : NAMANE App > 'MY CARD' > 'Card Management' > Click 'Lock this Card'

- Card Cancellation: NAMANE App > 'MY Card' > Select "Card Cancellation" for temporarily locked cards


📝 Key Summary

[1] Refunding a card takes approximately 7 business days.

[2] ‘Card Cancellation’ permanently locks the card in case of loss/theft.

[3] Cards can no longer be loaded or used in case of cancellation.

[4] Unable to cancel card if balance is present.



✅ Pay Card Refund (If you have a Korean account) 

⛔️ Notes on Requesting a Card Refund for Creatrip user 

  • Customers who have used the charging ticket purchased from Creatrip should fill out the Creatrip ID in the Reason for Refund input box.

[1] NAMANE APP > ‘Customer Service’ from all menus > Click ‘Refund’

[2] Select the card you would like a refund for.

[3] After entering your information, proceed with ‘Verify’.

✓ Full Name

✓ Bank(KR)

✓ Account Number

[4] Select 'Request'.

[5] Application complete!

※ The refund will be made to the account you entered after checking it at the customer service. (About 7 business days)



✅ Pay Card Refund (If you do not have a Korean account) 

⛔️ CASE. If you don't have a Korean account.

  • If you don't have a Korean account, you can get a refund through Cash Pickup.
  • If the balance is more than 40,000 won, you can get a refund, and the refund fee is 7,000 won.
  • The refundable countries are as follows.
    China, Japan, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mongolia, England, France, Germany, Australia, Canada, the United States
  • Refund will be made at the exchange rate based on the confirmed date of the refund, not the date of application for refund.
  • If you are not a refundable nationality, please contact the customer service.

[1] NAMANE APP > ‘Customer Service’ from all menus > Click ‘Refund’

[2] Select the card you would like a refund for.

[3] After entering your information, proceed with ‘Verify’.

✓ Full Name

✓ Select “No Korean bank account” 

✓ Reason for refund (If you are a Creatrip user, please enter your Creatrip ID.) 

[4] Select 'Request'. Cash pick-up information will be delivered via your registered email. 

[5] Please pick up the refund in a way that is notified by email.



✅ Card Cancellation

⛔️ Before you cancel a card!

  • You can cancel the card after "Lock the card".
  • Unable to cancel cancellation after card cancellation.
  • Cancelled cards cannot be used or reloaded again.
  • Card cancellation is only available for the Pay Balance, and the Transit Balance is provided by Rail Plus and is non-refundable in the case of theft or loss. 
  •  If you have a balance, you can't cancel it, so please move the balance before the cancellation.

[1] NAMANE App > 'MY CARD' > Select a card to temporarily lock.

[2] Select the ‘Card Management’ button. 

[3] Select ‘Lock this Card’. 

[4] Enter the security password.

[5] Select ‘OK’ when prompted. 

[6] Card has been temporarily locked! 

[7] Select the ‘Card Cancellation' button. 

[8] Enter the security password.

[9] Select the 'OK' button from the pop-up. 

[10] Card has been canceled!

⛔️ MoneyBox onsite refund is only available to foreigners.

⛔️ Information on Money Box branches where on-site refunds are possible

  • Myeongdong Branch 2: (address) 15, Myeongdong 9-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
  • Seoul Station Branch : (address) 401-2, Hangang-daero, Yongsan-gu, Seoul

[1] NAMANE APP > ‘Customer Service’ from all menus > Click ‘Refund’

[2] Select the card you would like a refund for.

[3] Click 'MoneyBox onsite refund' and check refund precautions.

[4] After entering your information, proceed with ‘Next’.

✓ Surname on passport

✓ Given name on passport

✓ Passport number

✓ Reason for refund

[5] Scan the refund QR at any Money Box branch.

[6] Application complete! 

[7] Show the application completion screen to the “Money Box” staff.

※ You can receive a refund of the application fee minus the processing fee.

※ The fee for MoneyBox onsite refund is ₩1,200 for amounts under ₩100,000 and ₩1,700 for amounts exceeding ₩100,000.

✅ Notes on Pay Card Refund/Cancellation

※ Card cancellation is only for the pay balance, and the transit balance cannot be canceled in the "NAMANE" app. The balance of transit is serviced by Railplus and cannot be refunded in case of theft or loss.

※ When requesting a refund, card usage will be suspended until it is processed by the relevant department.

※ Refund of the Pay Balance can be applied for when more than 60% of the Pay Balance has been used after the most recent deposit. (Excluding Card, Easy payment charging)

※ Refund limit per person per month is up to 500,000 KRW.

※ Refunds for abnormal purposes (money laundering, etc) may be restricted accordingly based on company regulations, and investigation may be required from government agencies.

※ For a refund, please apply to an account so that your identity can be verified. Kakao Bank Mini Accounts (Starting with 7777) cannot be authenticated, and you cannot refund a request with this account.

※ If the primary card is locked, the next registered card is automatically set as the primary card. You can change it by clicking the ‘Card Management' button.
